The Walk

We were fortunate enough to have a beautiful sunny day on the 18th November. Blue skies and a shining sun made the long trek for over 300 walkers much easier…well maybe not easier, but definitely more picturesque!

This year the track was in reverse, so walkers headed  out of the city towards Donvale. The heat got to some walkers but the majority crossed the finish line smiling to celebrate with family and friends.

The Results

Thanks to all our generous supporters and hardworking participants we raised over $120,000 to be shared among our three very worthy beneficiaries. The money will go directly to improving the quality of many lives.

The beneficiaries for 2006 were the water for life project run by Samaritan’s Purse, a vocational training centre in India run by Leprosy Mission Australia and our Typo Station, a program for troubled youths in Australia.
